I like to fish during the spring of the year when the bass are pulling out of deep water and moving into shallow water. The water is usually off-color by then, and the bass often will be positioned around cover. I can fish heavier line and big lures like the 3/8-ounce black-and-blue flipping jig and a double-Colorado spinner bait with a white-and-chartreuse skirt. Depending on the water’s color, I can also fish a Storm Arashi Silent Square Bill Crankbait (https://www.rapala.com/storm/hard-baits/arashi-series/arashi-silent-square/) in a crawfish pattern.

Fish in the waterYou Can Be a Pro Basser Too:

There’s a lot of travel, frustration, many nights away from home and plenty of hard work that’s required to become a tournament pro – even if you have a passion for bass fishing and prefer to do that rather than anything else in the world. You have to understand at the beginning that being a tournament pro won’t be easy. But you have a good chance of making your goal. The one thing that drives all tournament fishermen is their passion to fish for bass and the passion to compete – regardless of how difficult the task may be.
